Operation: Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction: May, 2013.

After fourteen months of first injury on my knee, I was operated for continuous instability problems due to ACL laxity by Dr. Nishith shah on 7/5//2013. My ACL was reconstructed. It has been 6 months after my knee arthroscopy & now I am able to do all my regular activities. Being a footballer, I know that I am going to start playing football once again in the near future. Adding to this, this centre gave lots of emphasis on post-operative physiotherapy that made my recovery faster. It was a good decision to choose this hospital for my treatment.

Surgery: Arthroscopic Bankart’s surgery for recurrent dislocation of shoulder: May: 2013

I dislocated my shoulder 3 weeks ago 3rd time. I was finally forced to talk to a doctor about it. I met Dr. Nishith shah who gave his own recommendation for treatment. He was very friendly, took his time to explain all the options and answered all my questions. I was operated for key holes Bankart repair surgery ( shoulder elastic’s tightening). Dr. Nishith Shah gave me the run down of the surgery while operating and was very helpful and friendly through the entire event. After the surgery he and his team provided all the necessary information and care that I needed. Today my shoulder feels as good as it did before my first dislocation. It feels more stable than it has ever been and I have no pain at all. Thanks Dr. Shah and his team.

Surgery: Wrist ganglion; Arthroscopic removal: August: 2011

I noticed a painful swelling on my right wrist that gradually increased and became painful in daily activities. It was diagnosed as a ganglion and I was surprised to know that this was a very common problem with females. I also knew that chances of recurrence of ganglion was very high after OPEN surgery with a big scar. Dr. Shah explained me regarding advantages of arthroscopic surgery for ganglion- like almost invisible scars and very low chances of recurrence as it addresses the problem in more scientific manner. I underwent arthroscopic ganglion removal with only puncture holes. My recovery was very quick and I hardly took any medicines after surgery. It has been almost 3 years and there is no pain, no swelling and no recurrence. Scars are hardly visible ( this I like the most) and I am able to do all household activities as well as my office work without any problems.

Ankle Arthroscopy & Lateral ligament repair

I was suffering for 2 months with a Ankle lateral ligament injury, I was referred to Aash arthroscopy centre in ahmedabad by my cousin.

My initial appointment through to surgery was extremely quick. Dr.Nishith Shah was exceptionally knowledgeable and made me feel very confident about the whole procedure.

The facilities at the aash arthroscopy centre were first class and the team of staff were professional and welcoming. The result of my treatment has been good, going from a very painful and swollen ankle with limited mobility to pain free with almost 90% mobility after 2 months of my arthroscopy & lateral ligamnet repair.

To Dr.Nihsith Shah, you will be pleased to know the ankle is still functioning well, your skill and expertise is truly appreciated. The surgery has made a massive difference to my quality of life.

Surgery: Arthroscopic Knee ACL reconstruction , June 2011

In June 2011, I had to undergo a surgery for Anterior Cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. Aash Arthroscopy was my choice after getting several positive feedbacks.

The first 6 months after surgery were tough due to stiffness & pain. Besides a lack of self motivation there was also a fear of rein jury, but what eliminated all doubts were the positive inputs by Dr. Nishith Shah and his team. I regained my lost confidence. Their correct advice, a phased physiotherapy program helped me recover faster.  After a year of the surgery I was back to playing sports and was physically fit to undertake any physical activity.

Recovery with Prolotherapy

I had undergone an arthroscopic ACL reconstruction surgery with Dr. Nishith Shah in 2009. I had  full recovery within 7-8 months after surgery. Now i can play games without any problems. However, a similar problem came up before 3 months. I sustained a fall at home and my knee twisted. I consult Dr. Nishith Shah. He examined me and said I should undergo prolotherapy treatment. I took 3 injection as frequent interval as he said . I had relief from my pain within 3 injection . I strongly recommended this Prolotherapy treatment. It is definitely a steady and lasting treatment .

M / 40 Elbow ligament reconstruction

I got my right hand dislocated from elbow when I was in deep sleep and I rushed to well-known hospital in Pune where they put me under anaesthesia and got my hand in proper condition. However, I was not completely satisfied about the root cause as this had happened to me few times in last one year and I wanted to know reason and preventive treatment so it does not occur in future. I can not bear such pain anytime in sleep and rush to hospital in emergency. I visited another well-known hospital in Pune and they also applied another plaster but still, nobody was interested to do root cause analysis.

At that time, I remembered Aash hospital – Dr. Nishith Shah who had given me excellent treatment for my right leg before 10 years. I just took chance and wen to my hometown – Ahmedabad to take his opinion. He decided to take few reports and understood my history and how this started. He was very patient and then decided surgery to prevent future such issues. I was not sure if I should go for it because none other doctor suggested – but I had faith in him. After surgery, I was back home in 2 days and then, I just had movable plaster for 3-6 weeks with increasing movement each week. Even doctor allowed to keep my fingers outside so I could do my regular work too after surgery. Just after 2-3 months, everything was in excellent condition. Now, its almost 3 years – not a single incident of dislocation and I am doing all activities complete normally. I dont even remember that I had some surgery on elbow before 3 years. Even I am able to bend complete hand from elbow, lift normal weight and absolute normal movements even for light sports. Thanks to Nishithbhai for giving my normal life back to me.

My knee ligament injury, arthroscopy & recovery.

I came from Bikaner, Rajasthan to Aash arthroscopy centre ( Sports Injury clinic) & to Dr. Nishith Shah in January 2015 with 1 week old knee injury that I sustained due to vehicular accident. I was unable to take load on my knee because of pain and feeling of instability though I was bale to bend the knee.

After examination Dr. Shah & Dr. Rohan Vakta saw my MRI & x rays. I was briefed that  I had  both ACL (Anterior cruciate ligament ) & PCL ( posterior cruciate ligament ) injury with a meniscus ( knee cushion) injury. There was also an effusion ( knee swelling)

ACL reconstruction & PCL reconstruction surgery was performed arthroscopically with Bone Patella Tendon Bone (BPTB) & Hamstring graft at Ahmedabad, India. Torn lateral meniscus was partially removed ( partial meniscectomy). I was asked to use western toilet from the next day & was asked to use a walker for 2 weeks. I started knee bending after 10 days but my knee was protected in a PCL brace.  I had an uneventful recovery but feedback from team Aash was excellent. They periodically used to call me and were in touch with my physiotherapist. I used to do regular exercises for almost 3-4 months after surgery.  Within 9 months, I returned to play the sport that I love & have been playing for many years after knee arthroscopy.

I am more than happy to place my video on my morning activities. I am in blue T shirt  on the cot. This was filmed at approx. 1.5 yrs. after my surgery.  Thanks to Dr. Nishith Shah, Dr. Jaymin Bhatt & team Aash to  give me a new lease of life to my knee joint. Video link…..
